Design 4: Lightweight Structures

This paper focused on the design and fabrication of a lightweight timber exhibition pavilion. The pavilion had to be modular, easy to transport, and quick to assemble, suitable for temporary exhibition use.

Students explored different structural systems such as tensegrity, cable trusses, and space frames to make forms that used minimal material while remaining stable.

For the Final Presentation students had to create models that would help explain the structure and fabrication process.
